Do You Prefer Blind Dates or Going Out with People You Already Know?

Today I’d like to open up another topic for discussion.

Do you prefer blind dates or going out with people you already know – and Why?

Ultimately there is no “right” or “wrong” answer to this question (although I realize that some of you will have strong reactions).  Please keep your answers respectful, informative, and on topic and hopefully we’ll get some good learning.

P.S. I’ll go first.  My wife and I met on a blind date and my parents met on a blind date, so needless-to-say I prefer blind dates.  It keeps things interesting and adds an element of surprise not knowing who you’re going to get, but comes with the benefit of not having any preconceived notions and assumptions about who the person is.
